Let's start by knowing exactly what Wish is. It is an American eCommerce company. Was founded by Peter Szulczewski and Danny Zhang (maybe they don't sound familiar to you but the truth is that they have been programmers at Google and Yahoo).
It is like an online store similar to Amazon, Aliexpress (more like the latter) or Joom, a sales platform where sellers contact buyers and whose prices are quite cheap for almost all products. Obviously, you can find many prices, but normally they are not very expensive.
According to the data we have found, has over 90 million active users, and more than a million sellers, with a catalog that exceeds 300 million products. The goal is to be able to offer them at very cheap prices without reducing their quality.
It has both a page to view on a computer and an application. However, there is a problem with the first one, and that is that, in order to browse and find out what they sell, you need to register first. The same happens with the application, they force you to be registered to be able to see the products they have.
How Wish works
Once you enter Wish, with your username and password, you will find a website or an app with a very simple design and in white and blue, quite relaxing and even intuitive.

Once you have finished browsing the store you have to Click on the cart and the purchase process will start.. It is quite quick to do since except for the first time, when you have to say how you are going to pay, then by sliding the button the automatic payment will be made (unless you cancel it, of course).
It will tell you how much the shipping costs are, being able to choose home delivery (which is more expensive) or store collection. Before you did not have this possibility, but the truth is that it is breaking into Spain with force and now practically in all cities and towns you will have a nearby store where you can send your package.
Advantages and disadvantages of buying
There is no doubt that Wish is quite interesting to buy products at much cheaper prices (the same ones you might find on Aliexpress or even Amazon) with shorter shipping times.

The good thing about shopping on Wish
Wish benefits there are many. We can summarize them in the following:
- It is very cheap. You can find many items at ridiculous prices. And others that are quite affordable to save something and have what you wanted.
- It is fast in shipping. Products are usually delivered much sooner than what is stated on the page or the app, even with shipments in just a few days. Of course, other times it takes longer.
- There is a lot of variety of products. The truth is that there are so many that we could be talking about them for days.
- A high-quality money-back guarantee. Dissatisfied with the product? You do not like? Has it arrived broken? Wish takes care of everything and they are pretty quick. Even if you have had problems with the payment (being charged twice or similar) they attend to you very quickly.
Disadvantages of the purchase
Now, what's wrong with buying here?
- Sometimes shipments are eternal. This is because the products are not in nearby warehouses and delivery takes longer. But it is similar to Aliexpress.
- Some negative comments. You can see these in the app, when you are going to install it on your mobile. We assume that it is a lottery, since it will depend on the type of seller with whom you “do business”.
Wish or Aliexpress, which is better?
Wish and Aliexpress are very similar. Even adding Joom there are three options for online purchases (Chinese) quite affordable for any pocket. We have seen the advantages and the truth is that all three tend to sell the same. There are times when it is not easy to find the products, or they are simply not there.
Which one do we recommend? The truth is all three work very well. We have tried all of them and perhaps the one that makes us wait the most is Aliexpress. Although you can take it as a surprise because when it arrives we don't even remember what we bought.
At the price level, it is true that Wish is sometimes cheaper than Aliexpress, but you have to watch the shipping costs you have to pay.
