Verizon creates Oath

Last week the company Verizon completed its acquisition of the company Yahoo for the large amount of $ 4.5 trillion, and also the same company is planning to create the company Oath with the also acquisition of AOL.

This new subsidiary has in its possession more than 50 technology and digital media brands, which include brands such as HuffPost, Yahoo Sports, Finance and Mail, AOL.com, Makers, Tumblr, Flickr and Build Studios, among others. Oath has content dedicated to news, sports, finance, entertainment and lifestyle.

Verizon will start charging the Application called "App Flash" which will have Yahoo and the AOL brand, on Verizon phones. Also the same company announced that they will have to cut around 2,000 jobs as a result of the integration of these new companies to it.
Oath will be used as a streaming service that Verizon will offer, and there are plans for it to be launched soon this year.

Verizon has also paid the "US National Football League" an amount of $ 21 million dollars to obtain the rights to the American football games of the teams such as the Baltimore Ravens and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Verizon has bought several media companies and entered into strategic alliances to meet its goal of becoming a media conglomerate. Alliances include deals to be able to broadcast from Oath television content and companies like Viacom, AwesomenessTV, Scripps Networks, Interactive ESPN and CBS Sports, among others.

Last year Verizon partnered with the Hearst Company to create RatedRed, an application for "millennials" from "Heartland". But this failure and could not continue with its function.
