Bol.com has become the largest online retail site. Once again, the “e-commerce company”Owned by Ahold, which was ranked as the number one, largest ecommerce site in Dutch companies. The Coolblue and Wehkamp sites they took second and third place respectively.
Coolblue It is a new company which is already within the top 3 largest that exist in the Netherlands. Last year, Zalando took third place, but the German fashion company has already been overtaken by retailer Coolblue, which has generated sales of more than 614 million euros. And while the second and third place earnings last year were somewhat similar, the number one position increased their earnings significantly.
Last year, Bol.com I came in first place with a total earnings of 730 million Euros. This year, these online retailers have been said to have generated 950 million Euros in profits. That is clearly far superior to the other competitors on the list.
This was a good year for Bol.com. Long before the holiday season, they started a “Vandaag bexorgd”, Which guaranteed hundreds of thousands of items which would be delivered to your doorstep the same day you ordered them. Also this site started a premium subscription of services for 15 euros a year, Bol.com makes its deliveries at night and on Sundays totally free, it also makes deliveries the same day that customers order their items, and customers do not have to pay for the shipping of this if the order had a price lower than 20 euros.
Undoubtedly Bol.com, has some of the best online ecommerce services and sites, which hopefully one day will be available to different regions of the world.
