The operation is simple. The user places his order through the app and a glover receive the notification. Once the order is accepted, the order is started and when the delivery is made, the client can pay through the application and assess the glover. Glovo is currently only available in Barcelona.

The company, founded at the end of 2014 by the Barcelona Oscar pierre, 22, has managed to raise 140.000 euros in its first round of financing. Renowned Business Angels such as Carlos Blanco, Francesc Pi, Pere Mallol, Sacha Michaud, David Tomás, Rubén Ferreiro and Guillermo Llibre have led the investment. Pierre's intention is to take advantage of his time at Connector to achieve good optimization and rapid growth of the app and to reopen a second round of investment after the acceleration.

Pierre, who bases his business on the collaborative consumption, defines its service as fast, cheap, easy and personalized. In less than 60 minutes, the application allows you to simply order what you want from your city, from a bouquet of flowers, to take away food, a gift or whatever you need. Pierre explains that "The Glovo team works to create and offer the most efficient delivery service in the world thanks to the optimization of resources that new technologies and the shared economy model allow".

Pierre has explained that he will invest the proceeds mainly in online marketing, in its expansion in other cities of the peninsula (currently they only offer their service in Barcelona) and in reinforcing their presence by generating strategic alliances with local business partners and eCommerce They also want to expand the team and “Pamper all our users. People are crying out for more efficient eCommerce and courier logistics; and this is one of Glovo's objectives ”.

At Glovo they know that a large part of the success of the project is based on the good service of the glovers and the trust they generate. Therefore, before signing one, the candidate must fill out a form and attend an interview, after which, if eligible, they receive training from the Glovo team before being included in the team. In addition, as users can value glovers, depending on the experience and evaluations they receive, they will earn a greater or lesser percentage of the money paid by consumers, always between 70 and 80%.
