The research found that Amazon Prime members spend five more hours visiting 50 businesses shopping online compared to other shoppers. This service has a subscriber base that ranges between 65 and 80 million users. Amazon generates $ 6.4 trillion in revenue from these customers.

The report also reveals that around one third of Amazon Prime users visit supermarket web pages or apps, compared to only 25% of buyers who are not members of this service.

Although some may perceive Amazon as a threat, the reality is that with 32% of the Prime users visiting marketplace websites and apps, grocery retailers can be successful in ecommerce.

That is, these retailers can compromise Amazon Prime customers in their own programs and applications. Although Prime members have paid for exclusive access to special offers and promotions, the report indicates that they are willing to shop elsewhere.
