The V edition of the MiEmpresa Show for entrepreneurs and SMEs will be held in February 2014

On February 18 and 19, 2014, the fifth edition of the MiEmpresa Room the motto "Build your success". This is one of the reference events for entrepreneurs and SMEs. In this edition, which has the support of Bankia as Main Sponsor and which last year had more than 15.000 visitors, it also has the co-sponsorship of Correos, as well as the support of Madrid Emprende.

El Salon MiEmpresa 2014 will try to provide solutions and resources in all possible areas of the life of an SME. For this, it will have 8 thematic rooms, more than 5.000 m2 of exhibition, as well as different activities and conferences in which more than 250 experts will participate.

The objective of this event's audience is to continue helping entrepreneurs and SMEs to reinforce the foundations to launch into the market, facilitating access to supports to build their future in areas such as internationalization, business development or technology, among others.

In a country like Spain, where the self-employed, entrepreneurs and SMEs currently generate 85% of new jobs, understanding the importance of their activity should be a compulsory subject ”, explains Sebastien chartier, CEO of Creaventure and founder of the Salón MiEmpresa, the largest event for entrepreneurs and SMEs in Spain that celebrates its V edition in February.

Conclusions and proposals from previous editions of the MiEmpresa Show

Some proposals from entrepreneurs Spanish companies collected by the MiEmpresa Hall in previous editions were to promote the creation of viable companies, bring the concepts of business, innovation and research to the school environment and create national work groups where prestigious entrepreneurs help politicians to enact laws more in line the reality of the country, among others.

“During these four years, the self-employed, entrepreneurs and SMEs have presented different proposals to promote the creation and, what is more important, the success of their projects. Every year we have brought their requests to public and private institutions, and this year we summarize in these 10 proposals the claims of society since 2009 to enhance the figure of entrepreneurs in Spain without falling into crazy plans that only seek to give revenue and political visibility, but little or no economic and labor advances to companies ”, says Sebastien chartier.

These claims, which covers a wide range of proposals and solutions that help to create SMEs, consolidate their survival and growth, and facilitate and encourage entrepreneurship, can be summarized in the following decalogue:

  1. Encourage the creation of viable companies, analyzing the return and quality of each of the initiatives to support entrepreneurs.
  2. Promote both the figure of the entrepreneur and the concepts of business, innovation and research within the school system, and promote the creation of companies in educational centers, universities and business schools.
  3. Promotion of creative tourism, which allows attracting professional and innovative talent from the rest of the world, bringing young researchers closer to Spain through the offer of masters or studies in our country, and allowing them to develop their professional careers there.
  4. Create national working groups in which prestigious entrepreneurs help politicians to enact laws more in line with the reality of the country.
  5. Monthly VAT refund to the self-employed and newly created companies during the first five years of life.
  6. Tax incentives in personal income tax for investment in newly created companies, with a deductible limit of 20% for amounts less than 90.000 euros.
  7. Reduced contributions to social security for two years for new business projects with invoices below 90.000 euros per year.
  8. Facilitate the access of entrepreneurs to public procurement by reducing the thresholds for the requirement of classification in works and services contracts.
  9. Enable the creation of a company in an estimated time of one hour and at a cost of one euro, simplifying procedures through online registration.
  10. Facilitate the leap of SMEs to internationalization, promoting their participation in foreign markets and disseminating existing programs and actions in different emerging countries, as well as favorable tax incentives for internationalization.

Organization

The MiEmpresa Room is an event organized by createventure, a company established in February 2009, with the aim of organizing and celebrating events professional and business field and, in particular, in relation to the management and development of businesses and companies. Creaventure has a management team of professionals, experts in entrepreneurship and event management, supported by several strategic shareholders, specialists in the communication sector. The MiEmpresa Hall is its main event.
