The Spanish accelerator IMPACT closes its second open call with 23 new projects selected

IMPACT, la European mobile internet startup accelerator has just closed its second open call, in which it has selected 23 projects from eight countries (Great Britain, Germany, Croatia, Macedonia, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Turkey) which it will accelerate in the next six months. Among the projects chosen there is representation from sectors as varied as health, the crypto-currency financial sector, mCommerce, training, the tourism sector, business management, employment, the Internet of Things or music.

With this round open call, developed during the last three months, IMPACT becomes the Spanish accelerator that has managed to attract the most European projects: a total of 2.000, already adding a non-refundable investment for startups of four million euros. Next September the third open call will be opened, in which IMPACT agrees to invest more than 2.000.000 additional euros.

Our companies accelerated by IMPACT They receive 100.000 euros of non-refundable financing, an intensive in-person training program and another program of online technical courses, a permanent mentoring service with renowned mobile business specialists in the international market. This program provides entrepreneurs with a global vision and a unique opportunity to internationalize their ventures.

The 23 new IMPACT startups will also have intensive training in digital entrepreneurship, from the hand of recognized experts. In this program they will work in dynamics and workshops on product development, usability, business models and pricing, strategic marketing, search marketing, KPIs, startup financing and valuation strategies, management and management of startups or internationalization, among others.

They will also have the support from more than 60 mentorsSome focused on the intensive monitoring of the startup during the six months of acceleration and other specialists in different areas of the company. Finally, they are offered access to international investors to be able to finance their projects beyond public money.

The projects that will be part of this acceleration phase are the following:

  • Measurement: Platform to share data in the retail sector.
  • Self: Personal CRM that helps sales teams reach their goals with less stress.
  • fuel oil: Application to control and prevent the theft of fuel in vehicles.
  • momentum: Platform that acts as a virtual mobile CFO for SMEs and helps them manage their cash flow, plan their business model and optimize costs and sales.
  • Music Sense: Streaming services in the music segment, based on user tastes.
  • gelt: App that offers discounts to users just by uploading photos of purchase receipts at the supermarket.
  • Back in Time: Disruptive technology that predicts the risk of dementia and offers cognitive stimulation for the prevention of Alzheimer's.
  • Butane24: Application that connects users with their local butane dealer.
  • Kukua Weather Services: Its aim is to provide small farmers in Africa with accurate weather information.
  • GamePho: Pocket motion controller for players of any type of connected platform.
  • Prior: Mobile commerce platform that allows you to buy from anywhere.
  • Syneidis: App to protect, manage and share both data, images and files on your mobile safely and from anywhere in the world.
  • Welcome System: New system that allows answering the video intercom from the smartphone from anywhere.
  • Tab Trader: Commercial terminal for encrypted transactions.
  • Quizlyse: Agile tool to create questionnaires, generating questions and answers based on any Internet content, automatically and in real time.
  • App that allows obtaining metrics from mobile applications in real time for the entire life cycle of the user based on events, heat map and gesture recognition.
  • Glamping hub: Global platform for outdoor accommodation.
  • class data: Assistant for students of any e-learning platform, both by phone and by watch.
  • Sentinel: Catering specialized in provisions for the nautical sector.

Sebastian Muller, director of IMPACT explains:“We are very satisfied with the recognition we have received from the European Union, which has given us the highest possible assessment; and with the response of startups, who score our acceleration process with 9 and 10 in 82% of the cases. In the first wave of acceleration, we have contributed to multiplying the impact of the startups' businesses, to provide support to obtain new investments, to raise user levels and sales ”.

Muller also explains that “With this second call we are going to invest four new million euros of non-refundable financing in projects that seek to add value to society, from improving the lives of farmers in Africa, saving lives at sea or in the mountains, distributing WiFi around the world and return cash for the purchase of products in supermarkets, among other initiatives ”.
