Jennifer Mellon President of Trustify: Diversity is Good for Business

Jennifer Mellon President of Trustify

Jennifer Mellon is the co-founder and president of TrustifyIn this exclusive interview, Mellon discussed with TechNewsWorld the risks and rewards that come with democratization, diversification and disconnection.

What inspired you to found Trustify?

"It is the first technology platform that connects clients and businesses to a national network of licensed private investigators, and we do digital forensics and investigate jobs globally."

“My co-founder and I, who is also my husband, we are devoted to startups, and we also have history with confidence and security. We used private investigators and we had terrible experiences and we knew there had to be a better way.

How does Trustify help diversity?

“My team, from day one, has always been 70 percent women. You know, we are not a flower delivery service, we are doing private investigations. It's not a very common space in which women lead, so I'm proud of this. ”

“We have been successful because we appear to be like our consumers. Our worldviews and paradigms have allowed us to democratize into a space that has traditionally been dominated by Caucasian men, and it's the same good business. "

What challenges as a woman have you had throughout your career?

I have been shocked by things that have been said to me throughout my career. I've worked my entire life, building companies and having a place on great boards, and yet I've had questions asked like “How can you do this and be a mother at the same time?"

Tech startups are very disruptive in many ways, but one space they don't consider is the treatment in which they give women in these types of businesses and minorities in the same way. "
